I’ve finally finished updating my rules summaries and reference sheets for BattleLore, and this time I’ve put them all together into one download: the BattleLore Rules & Reference Pack. This comprehensive PDF document summarises in compact, easy-to-reference form all the BattleLore rules currently available. If you wish, you’ll never have to use the reference cards again.
You’ll find a host of similar rules summaries and reference sheets for many popular games at The Esoteric Order of Gamers.
If you find any errors or have any suggestions for improvement, please let me know.
I must apologise in advance, but I won’t be helping to make or host translations of this file—unfortunately, it’s just too time consuming to provide the original art files, check the layout etc. This latest version will be hosted here in English only, though you can still download the translations that have been done by dedicated fans in the past.
Update: v3.1 has a corrected Terrain Reference page.
Update: v3.2 has a corrected Troll powers section.
Update: v3.3 has corrections to Hills, Cliffs, Bridge and Earth Elemental.

It’s been a while since we’ve heard anything from Fantasy Flight concerning BattleLore, so hopefully these two tidbits are the precursor to some new announcements.
Advanced Training: Field your armies with boosted Dwarven Cattle Riders and the improved Goblin Sling ammunition designed by BattleLore creator, Richard Borg! Commanders can print out the following altered cards that take the place of the existing cards of the same name.
You can download the new unit cards here.

BattleLore fan Chris Lewis has put an amazing amount of work into this set of Campaign rules, new races and new creatures for BattleLore. In this one zip file you’ll find all of his home brew rules and ideas, including:
- Rules for campaigns in the world of BattleLore that can be run in a night, a weekend, or a much longer period, and the maps you’ll need to run them.
- Terrain deployment cards to allow random battlefields (169 combinations).
- Details on 14 new races, 15 creatures (including cannons) and 6 Wyverns along with counters to use them on the battle board.
This has all been put together into a ZIPPED file you can download here (1.9 Mb). Check it out!

“A loud crash drowned the cries of the citizenry as another boulder hit the castle wall. The ground shook, and small pebbles from the ceiling gave off a glassy sound as they hit the marble floor. The aging scribe sat anxiously at his desk in the castle library. He was sweating heavily as he awaited Count Gervase. Some of the shelves had toppled over, and the floor was now littered with books and random debris from the broken decorations that had once adorned this elegant hall. Dawn had broken, and the small city of Juvage awoke to the sound of crashing boulders.”
It’s wonderful to see how some BattleLore fans have been inspired by the game to create their own game variants, adventures and background.
Jorge Molinari has not only created a great adventure with Deliver the Message, but he has written an excellent piece of fiction to accompany it, The Siege of Juvage.
This has all been put together into a PDF document you can download here (772 Kb). Read the story, then play the adventure for yourself!
Thanks Jorge for all the hard work you’ve put into this excellent contribution!

Sorry this took so long folks—I’d actually finished updating the BattleLore Reference Sheet ages ago to include the Dwarven Battalion rules, and then neglected to upload it!
As usual, for best results, print out in colour on double-sided matt card (don’t forget to print at 100%), cut out and laminate.
Enjoy! Go to the Guild Downloads section for the download.
Update: Now v9.1.

One of the most hard-working and dedicated members of the BattleLore community, Gerald Uitz, brings us the June update of his incredible Compendiums. All files have been updated (the German versions have been entirely reworked in collaboration with Days of Wonder) except the English Creatures Compendium, for which there were no new entries.
The June editions of the Lore Cards Compendiums and the Creatures Compendiums are now online. As usual, go to the Guild Downloads section for the latest downloads.
